Designs and Uses

These gratings are known as "Long Gratings" as they vary in length from 760mm to just over 900mm (up to 3ft). They are often used for "under-front-door-step" gratings and long vent grilles fitted in one course of brickwork. Also found as drainage channels.

Daisy Pattern 3" (75mm)

Daisy pattern grating is ideal for narrow gaps, at only 3" (75mm) high it will look good supplying ventilation under front door steps or as a drainage grating. It's "sectioned" panels lend it to be cut to shorter lengths without ruining the pattern. This is a delicate grille and is not suitable to withstand the weight of vehicular traffic.

Vertical Slotted 3" (75mm)

SLOT363 This 36" (910mm) vent grille is 3" high (75mm) which is the height of a standard UK house brick and is supplied painted black.
Commonly found under the front door to provide ventilation under the hallway, these grilles in many homes today are often missing or corroded beyond repair.

We supply this grille 3" high in 36" lengths but can reduce the length to your requirements.

Painted Grilles

Our cast iron products contain iron, nearly 100% iron to be precise and this iron will rust if it isn't kept protected from moisture and air. All these gratings are supplied primed and then painted using a two-part professional epoxy black gloss paint which will need repainting from time to time.
