Bearers are an essential foundation for any new build flooring and for channel
grates. The lugs are cemented over to secure the grating in place and the
grating sits in the 1/2" deep recess. Corners can be formed by placing the
ends of the bearers to butt up against each other. This is a simple method
although it will leave a small gap at each corner. A far better solution
is to mitre the corners, just like making a picture frame using an angled mitre
grinding machine. If you would like us to do this for you we will be happy
to quote for this, which is typically £50 per corner, please
