Designs and Uses
The Heritage grille is our most popular product, not just in the UK were it is
made, but also in the USA were we send an ever increasing number of orders
each week. It seems interior designers, architects and house restorers just love
this pattern and who can blame them?
They're cast in Scotland, from recycled iron, each and everyone is made by hand
and cast using the traditional green sand method. Look carefully and you will
discover no two designs are exactly the same - they're all similar of course,
but each one is unique and each one is hand finished and painted in our workshop
in Devon.
Fitted to any outside wall or into the plasterwork in the finest room, the
Heritage grille is sure to work in harmony with the building, be it Medieval,
Georgian, Victorian or Edwardian.
The HER6 and HER7 grilles are used mainly as kitchen, hob and bathroom extractor
outlets and interior designers are incorporating these and the larger HER96 for
fresh air
room vents . They can be used to introduce air for log burners and open fires
and for venting blocked chimneys. To keep out any bugs, we're also able to supply all these grilles
with a copper fly screen mesh.
To get an idea of which size grille to fit with various size ducting we've come

featuring all gratings shown in position with core drilled holes......

Painted Grilles
Our cast iron products contain iron, nearly 100% iron to be precise and this iron will rust if it isn't kept protected from moisture and air.
These grillesare supplied primed and then painted using a two-part professional epoxy black gloss paint which will need repainting from time to time.
