This unusual cast iron ventilation grille is likely to turn a
few heads with interior designers or anyone looking to make a statement.
A Union Jack vent grille is certainly unique, and in cast iron it's extra
special.
These grilles are made exclusively for the Cast Iron Air Brick
Company to our own design and
cast, like all our products, in the UK. Finish is either lacquered natural grey
iron or grey iron with the cross highlighted in red, white or blue. We also
supply the vent in black gloss. They are a little over 9" x 3" and are
therefore suitable for a variety of interior ventilation requirements.
Suitable for contemporary interiors and period properties , the Union Jack vent
grille is ideal for ventilating all manner of voids around the house. Use it in
place of traditional brass vents or plastic grilles to really finish off your
interiors and give them a touch of class.
The UJ3 can be used for low volume air ventilation ideal screwed to
cupboard doors, fitted wardrobes, airing cupboard doors, pantries, under kitchen
units or under stair cupboards to help ventilate and prevent mould developing.
One or two vents are also suitable for providing air to rooms
for combustion purposes ie. in the case of open fires, log burners etc.
Customers must consult with gas safe/Hetas installer to confirm free air flow
(see table right) is sufficient.
At only 8mm thick, this grille is suitable
for recessing into wooden doors and floors.
The pattern is quite delicate with minimal border.
