Cast Iron Air Bricks 9" x 9" and over 225 x 225mm and over Click on Thumbnails To View We have 6 designs of air bricks in 9x9 (225 x 225mm) , one in 12x6 inch and one in 14 x 6 inch - the majority of these designs are virtual replicas of designs cast in the UK for many generations, possibly dating back to Georgian times. Which design you choose is very much a matter of taste although there are a number of factors which might help in choosing one design over another. If the air brick is positioned along a busy pavement then a heavy model such as the Tudor Rose (TR9) would be ideal. If air flow is important the max flow (Max9) as the name suggests is a clear winner. The Square Hole is a utilitarian pattern found in many terraced houses around the UK and is available as a relatively inexpensive cutaway reverse (item CUT9) or the more substantial box frame reverse (BOX9) which is easier to mortar in a brick wall.  The Fly Screen air brick (FLY9) is an effective deterrent against rodents and even insects - it is the only type of cast iron air brick which can prevent insect ingress. The Regency 12" x 6" (REG12) is a classic Georgian design, of heavyweight construction and hand made using traditional methods in UK, the Lil14, at just under 14" long, is our largest cast iron air brick.  This has a beautiful Victorian lily and butterfly design which is extremely elegant with a 1/2" overhang along the top to protect the vent from rain.
