What a year 2025 was! Tumultuous is an underestimation to describe the world events but thankfully in the UK, cast iron manufacturing has been significantly calmer. Sadly we lost a foundry in 2024 ( Canlin Castings) and we have lost a Scottish foundry (Ballantines) to the administrators in 2025 that was one of our suppliers. So now we have just four foundries all in England. These all look healthy and we hope they’ll continue to remain so, casting and supplying us for years to come.
So we have held the price of most of our products at the 2025 price – that’s nearly 100 products and we’re commissioning more and more orders to keep our shelves full.
But… Foundries have seen an increase in the cost of energy during 2025 and the insurance increase has meant they are now charging us more for all our castings.
We have resisted passing this price increase on across the majority of our products.
There are a few exceptions though and this includes vents requiring more labour for the foundry to finish after casting and more complex designs.

- Flyscreen Air bricks in all sizes
- Heritage Vents 9×9 inch and 12×12 inch
- Conservation Vent 6 inch only
We are sorry we’ve not been able to absorb the price increases of these items but hope our customers understand the reason behind them and continue supporting us and using our castings.
