COAL COVER FRAMES
It’s a recurring theme but many patterns need replacing from time to time. They’re made of wood and sometimes resin so are quite fragile and don’t last forever. Also we sometimes have to switch production from one foundry to another and this invariably involves having more patterns made.
This week we’ve had some exciting news from one of the foundries we use “up north” from Adrians hometown, Grimsby. Its the foundry, Fowler and Holden creating new frames for the coal hole covers they already supply for us. The pattern is now ready to create sand molds to pour molten iron in and cast the iron frames.
