Maintaining high quality products by commissioning British Foundries
We are proud to announce our latest foundry is UK based J and J Siddons of West Bromwich, near Birmingham, England.
J and J Siddons is now our sixth foundry from the UK to make our products. We are proud we’ve been casting 100% British products for over 10 years. British foundries ensure workers receive a decent wage, have access to appropriate safety equipment for their personal use, have a fantastic safety record and make our products following strict emissions guidelines for pollution and CO2.
They join Ballantines in Scotland and 4 others in Birmingham, Walsall, Langley and Nottingham who create all our vents, air bricks and drainage grates. J and J Siddons shares, with us, the ethos of being family run and based in UK so all our goods will continue to be made in Britain. They take being “family run” to a whole new level, the managing director is Andrew Siddons who is the 5th generation Siddons since the company was founded in 1846. The foundry originally cast cooking pots and flat irons, examples of which are held in the Science Museum.
They will be making, in particular, our conservation vents , Windsor metric air bricks and Celler Vents
